2 WAG, here - LL Cool J?
7. Admiral of the US Navy
8. Hi & Lois
9. For those who are interested, Jeff Benedict's Book "Little Pink House" is an in-depth study of the case, and the cast of characters involved ( and, some are really characters - I'm talkin' you, Claire).
12. Anastasia, for one, I think

2 - I thought it was President Ford.
7 - Admiral is correct, however, I think something like "rear admiral" a step above "Flag Officer", although "Full Admiral" came a few years later. Also to Farragut, but 1866 I think.
10 - Saxe-Coberg Gotha, I think, although my spelling lacks.

1..#32

2..Knight, I applaud your thinking...this time. Pinot, we never accept rap artists here.

3..Ine presents the tragedy.

4..Storming the Bastille(prison), as Waq points out.

5..You must spelunk.

6..Ine picks Josephine's main squeeze.

7..Knight knows ship stuff, as he is most specific with "rear admiral".

8..Pinot gets his nose outta kid stuff long enough to pinpoint Hi & Lois.

9..Ine provides Eminent Domain (the homeowners lost). Pinot wants us to read more, even appearing on library posters.

10..They gave up the German ancestry, say knight & crown.

11..Why are you shy of the WAG here?

12..Anastasia is the most famous, cause for a while there was controversy about whether she was still alive.
Pinot offered a reward for info.

13..See ine...twice.
