I may be way off on my timing here, as you locals return from visiting kin in Tijuana and Beirut,
but we'll see.

Please don't reproduce questions and no research.

1..What's the job of the alveoli?

2..The Ticino River flows into the ? River, which empties into the ________ Sea.

3.."The fog comes in on little cat feet. It sits looking over harbor and city.

4..Which city was the 1st municipality to (unsuccessfully) attempt to forbid abortions past 20 weeks?

5..One Raiders-Jets contest had a prominent nickname.

6..Initially it was 8, then 12 methods of body-building.

7..In 1967 _______ secedes from Nigeria.

8..Explain prestressed concrete.

9..First ladies Edith and Nell spent much time together. Their hubbies?

10.."There's a world where I can go to tell my secrets to." Where is this "world"?

11..There're some other Huskies(?) that are 12-0 right now.

12..Navy Captain Nathaniel Palmer discovers..?.

13..The largest Gothic cathedral in northern Europe is ____Minster.

3. The poem Fog by Carl Sandburg.
5. The Heidi game. NBC cut away from the game at 7 p.m. to show the movie Heidi. Oakland scored two touchdowns in the final two minutes (which were not shown on NBC) to come from behind and win. This took place something like 40 years. I don't want anyone to think I hold grudges, but dammitall, being a Jets' fan I'm still angry -- not only at NBC but also at Oakland for winning.
9. Edith Wilson and Nell Taft.
10. "In my room." It's a very touching ad about kids with cancer.

8. Really? I'm an architect so I'll give it a shot in 40 words or less. When a prefab concrete beam's rebar are pulled into tension (stressed) during manufacturing causing the beam to deflect (hump). When the beam is installed and fully loaded (add compression) the beam deflects back to level.

1. I believe it is a lung function responsible for oxygenating the blood.
5. The Heidi Game back in 1967(?, may have been 1968) with the Jets leading comfortably with very little time left, NBC at 7pm went to its regularly scheduled programming, a show called Heidi. The Raiders went on to stage a miraculous comeback to win the game; Leaving many fans irate. Since then, all networks postpone regular programming until the conclusion of games.
6. Wonder Bread? Helps build strong bodies 12 ways.
7. Biafra

3. Sandburg, "Fog", of course. Personally, I have always preferred the version by Ann Onymous, that starts; "The frogs come, on little flat feet..."

6. Wonder Bread, still going strong in its Latin American incarnation as "Bimbo".

7..Biafra.

surprised by the question.

7..Zorro & VAUC provide Biafra.
