Just saw the movie and was wondering if the coach's coach was "roughly" based on Warren Witherell or was there an actual Warren Sharp?
I enjoyed the flick - as Larry King would say, "A good yarn"

I met a guy today (at Burke, his Mt.) that said he coached soccer at one time.
Who know what he didn't coach?

I had many conversations with Olde Coach and while he never mentioned coaching ski jumpers in particular
his knowledge/expertise in terms of body mechanics would have made him at the very least a darn good source
for aspiring jumpers.

He coached numerous sports over the years. Soccer was one of the major ones, however.

No, Jumpers, just foul shots. ;)
I talked with him about the mechanics of foul shooting and then taught them to my kid resulting in an immediate 30% improvement. WW knew his stuff. He had a great problem solving mind which he could apply across many different sports. Incredibly sharp guy.
