Disheartening to hear that we're just sitting there and waiting on Facey. It's October 8th. The start of the season is now less than a month away. Any longer and at best he'll be sitting out games while this remains unresolved.

This has been dragging out for more than 2 months and has gotten past the point of being absurd. It's evident the NCAA has it out for us, still, and yet our leadership is quiet.

Based on precedent, Facey sits. Based on justice, he plays. Since its the NCAA, I would bet that he sits. If he is de facto suspended by missing games this year, but gets to play other games and not lose any years of eligibility, that would exceed my expectations.

NCCA likes obsequious programs. The legendary Jim Calhoun didn't show them any deference. He was courageous, as is Ollie, but Calhoun was a Hall of Famer and 3 time Champion. UCONN and Ollie are playing their hand well. The media is no place to challenge the NCAA and you can't initiate litigation before the administrative procedure runs its course.

NCCA likes obsequious programs.

There is no pattern to any NCAA decision that can be associated with an organizational preference other than protecting top revenue generating programs in egregious violations of rules.

UNC, Johnny Football, Cam Newton, Duke's Jewelry, PSU hokey pokey, etc.

At the Boatright, Facey level its a spinning roulette wheel and a haphazardly attentive casino attendant. They'll drop the ball when they feel like it. Pun intended.

I remember a similar delay with boatright and him missing like 8? games then someone from another school at the same time in a similar situation had there issue cleared immediately. Are they still gathering evidence? How long could a few faxes take from his jamaican school to be sent? How long to deliberate? Im thinking a day at most to get all materials needed to investigate and a couple hours to deliberate. Secretaries can get the paperwork so really the need for the decision makers to be involved should only be the couple hours.

Island time... the paperwork is coming via donkey, canoe and a cameo appearance of the Jamaican bobsledding team.

They are playing their hand like . They should be running a PR campaign in the background. Contrasting the treatment of other programs with UConn by leaking to the Courant, NY Times, ESPN or anyone else who will listen. I would be calling Jay Bilas every day on this. News coverage is the only thing that will get the attention of the NCAA. They just have to do it on the down low but make sure their story -this injustice- is getting out.
