This is really sort of funny - she is playing the exact same role for the NY Liberty that she did for Uconn - coming off the bench as a defensive and rebounding machine. She is getting 5.5 minutes more a game in NY and her stats are quite comparable per game. Per minute her stats would all be considerably lower because she is 'playing against the best players in the world'.
At Uconn she got fewer minutes because she was competing for time last year with Tuck, Stewart, and KML - two AA players and one who will likely achieve that status and her lack of offensive intensity in most games made Geno reluctant to give her more minutes because it decreased the effectiveness of the other four players on the floor. She was a power on defense and often provided a spark on that end when she did enter that really helped.
She was a really good player for Uconn, she is proving to be a really good player for NY, and I expect her to have a very strong career in the WNBA. The limiting factor today as it has been over the last 4.5 years is that her confidence on offense is just not that strong - if she ever figures it all out, she could well compete for All-Star, MVP, and a National Team spot. If she doesn't, she will continue to be a valuable asset for her defense and rebounding, but may have a limited international career as they want their US players to score lots of points.
Final note - have only seen a little of the NY Liberty this year, but what I saw was the same problem as I saw at Uconn for Kiah - her ability to handle less than perfect entry passes leading to fumbles and loss of position against the defense is holding her back.
