He started 4 games for Dayton last season in his fourth season of college ball. Not sure you can pencil him in a starter. Looks like a great bench three point shooter.
He was on the court at the end of the games. Couldn't get him out of the games during the tournament.

For the record, him shooting 83% eFG% on catch and shoot plays this season is absolutely mental.
His stats are so weird from season to season and it's weird he didn't start this season. 50% from three, 6 attempts is good volume but he probably should've been shooting 10 of them.

He looks like what we all wish Polley was.

I think he was hurt his junior year. Great shooter, but wasn't very good defensively. That said, he still should have been starting at Dayton.

Best shooter in the country. 6'6 from NYC.

Kid has nice shot. Hurley could get this kid shots. But has to fit the culture. Don’t know what he’s looking for. I’m sure staff knows.

Probably only came to one of the games. I don't think we ever offered him.
Maybe bc Dan saw the pics of him cold-shouldering Rip and his Dad?! Come on kid, act a little impressed lol

Not in love with the idea of bringing in shooting specialists. Not that we can recreate our last few years lineups, but part of our special sauce has been having 3 big high level ball handlers on the floor that can defend. Andre and Castle didn't shoot much but we absolutely needed them for game and tempo control. Show me the wings that rebound, share the ball, and 'stock' it up!

I remember videos like this last year with Cam Spencer...oh wait it was actually some guy named Timberlake. Easy up on the begging. This is Uconn.

Watching those clips, I was completely shocked that he's not just a catch and shoot 3 Pt shooter. The kid has a handle, can jack it up lightning quick off the bounce, he plays above the rim, showed some quickness and looks like a dynamic scorer who apparently put it together late. Based on the athleticism in those clips, the UConn staff should be able to coach him up on the defensive end. Hopefully he can learn Hurley's motion offense.

Based on what I saw, he'd be a great fit. He looks like a more athletic version of Cam Spencer. I only watched a fraction of the clips, so I don't know if he sees the floor well and is much of a distributor. He just might be more a bigger and more athletic Joey Cal than the crafty Cam Spencer, but either way, if there's mutual interest sign him up!

Edited: I watched the rest of the clips and I don't think any of his 3 ever touched the rim. Now granted, they're only showing his made 3s but my gosh! You'd think you'd see bunch rattle in, but they are all net. I really hope they land him.

A great shooter you never pass on if he wants to come here. He'll have to work on defense but his shooting is what is needed

Well its a highlight video and everyone looks great but his shot looks clean and for sure as you said he has a quick trigger. Cam was very dynamic and all over the court but Hawk was basically a guy that came off screens and just nailed 3s all day and we won with him so this kid just has to be himself. My dream scenario for this team would be Reed, Brea, McNeely in addition to Abraham and Nowell. Wow that would be insane.

Diarra/Nowell
Ball/Brea/Ross
Stewart/McNeeley
Karaban/Roumoglou/Abraham
Johnson/Reed/Singare

That would be the deepest team in the country and a bonafide contender. Sign me up.
If Hurley and the staff could add Brea, McNeeley and Reed, that would be a nice haul. Improvement from the returning playerd plus those 3, plus the 2 incoming freshmen, would pretty much fill what we need and give us a shot at a repeat.

I wonder though, if Hurley would Iike to find a defensive perimeter stopper who can also take his man off the dribble to replace Castle, but they're extremely hard to find. I guess if they can play solid team D and light it up from all over the floor, we can probably win without this type of guard. It will be really interesting to see what pieces Danny ends up adding via the portal.

I wouldn't mind them adding another 5 who can score and/or defend. We won it all the past two years going only 2 deep at the 5, but would love to pick up another 5 (4/5 combo) like Danny Wolf. Being able to rotate 3 bigs where you don't have to worry so much about foul trouble would be huge, but I guess I'm getting a bit greedy. I'm not implying any of the current players be pushed out, but if we were to have enough ships, why not?
