Just heard a news report that his oldest daughter was possibly onboard as well. This hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Such devastating news...

Terrible. Just terrible. Hopefully the earlier report of Kobe’s daughters being onboard were erroneous. Nevertheless, it is a tragedy for whom ever was onboard.

Last night Kobe tweets out his warm congratulations to Lebron for passing him on the all time scoring list and today he’s gone. Don’t know what to say about all of this.

Shock, so shock. Very sad news
RIP Kobe.
We have very big fog this morning. We cannot see the mountain along highway 210.

Sad to hear about the loss of all five lives. Kobe was and will always be a Giant... The loss of his daughter is extremely hard to hear as well. Sounds like she was developing into an amazing player. Sorry to the family... and the other family who was traveling with them.

I can only hope that the families of everyone lost today will be surrounded by love and support. What a terrible tragedy.

Words are inadequate, perspective impossible, for those that are not no insult intended, but I am a praying man and my prayers go out to the surviving families and loved ones.

Terrible. Kobe and my daughter were born a month apart and we knew each other from AAU hoops where boys and girls often played on adjacent courts. We traveled to Philly a lot in those days and he was already famous. I believe he attended Lower Merion at the time while my daughter attended Christ the King. So sad. Even sadder because his daughter was probably the same age as my daughter when my daughter and Kobe crossed paths in the early 90s.

All threads on this terrible tragedy have been merged

There was an initial thread that completely disappeared — maybe as everything was getting merged. Not a big deal, just thought it was strange.
