Kivon Taylor: Dual Sport Athlete for '13?

Saw this on a thread from UConn Dan on the football board and thought this might be news-worthy for the basketball board. Kivon Taylor, from Atlanta, GA, committed to UConn as a dual-threat QB, and is 6'5" 200. He said on his Instagram that he is playing both football and basketball. Anyone hear anything on this?

I saw that as well. I guess technically every UConn student has an opportunity to make the team. If the football team can sell a potential football recruit on an opportunity to play for the basketball team, than that's great for the football program.

I guess I would be surprised.

I know he played as a junior at Grady, but I'd never heard anything about him being a DI hoop prospect.

There's also no such animal as a 'dual-scholarship', at least in terms of college athletics.
