I root for all the UConn alumni in the NBA, but find myself watching a ton of Charlotte games on the NBA Ticket to watch Kemba play. The home crowd and home announcers really seem to like him, which is good to see. This is going to be a critical year for Kemba. Charlotte has brought in some more offensive weapons to help carry the scoring burden. I think one of the reasons that Kemba's shooting percentage has never been that high in the NBA is that he is forced to take so many tough shots as the shot clock is expiring. I'm hopeful that this is the year that Kemba can make the leap to the upper echelon of NBA point guards. He's shown he can do it in stretches, where he scores at a high rate and with efficiency, but he has to show that he can do that consistently.
