Pay close attention to the last paragraph...he basically says what we have been saying here all morning...the team quit on P last night!

Three of my football crazy friends texted me last night. They live down south and are huge fans of Texas, LSU and Auburn. They have seen it all and interestingly, although they were not together they all basically were saying the same thing---"It looks like your team quit on their coaching staff. That's how our guys do it down here when the coach sucks."

P quit on the team last night. We had the football 4th-and-3 at our own 39, down 20 with 5:20 to go in the 3rd quarter last night. Still plenty of time to get back in the football game if we go for it there and convert. And a great opportunity for the coach to send the message to the team that you believe in them. Instead, P decides to punt and pick up 30 yards of field position. Awesome. That's how you coach if you think the game's already out of reach.

And then P makes the same call 4th-and-5 at our own 45 with 30 seconds to go in the 3rd down 27. That's a makeable 4th down conversion that you absolutely need to have in that situation. Instead P just threw in the towel.

How, as a player, do you go out there and bust your ass if your coach has just sent the clear message twice in the 3rd quarter that he thinks the game is unwinnable?

Thought p was going to literally quit last night after seeing his post game handshake. He just kept saying good game over and over, kinda psychotic.
