She has missed some games but attemps are still low. Getting to the line more next year will be one way the team will improve.

Very interesting stat.......And I agree , getting to the line more next year will improve the team. But I would love to see it start now in this post season to get us to another NC.

It's inevitable that she'd miss one if she had more opportunities. But she's been a phenomenal FT shooter in her college career. Not automatic, but around 90%.

When healthy last year Kaleena averaged 2 FTs/game. That's not enough for someone with her size, skill and shooting touch. I do expect a different player next year. For what remains of this year, Kaleena is not the same player who ended last season or began this season. I don't know that there's enough time left to change that significantly, but I hope we at least see a more active Kaleena than we saw yesterday.

Kaleena seemed to be posting up more last season than as a frosh. I think her elbow injury may have made her a bit skitterish this year, I look for her to be great next year, scoring from everywhere.

She is a three point shooter... that is one of the major reasons she is not at the line a great deal. That and she is super smart, so when she has the ball down low she may take the shot, but she also looks to make the pass....

Given that almost all of her shots are 3s lately, it is no surprise that she's not getting fouled much.

A spot that KML has been very good at over the years is the corner, especially the right corner, for 3-pt shots. This is also the spot that has come to be recognized as one of most productive spots among NBA players for scoring points, almost on line for easy layups under the basket. If she keeps popping from there, she will not only likely produce a lot of points on threes, but defenders rushing over to the corner to guard her could possibly be lured into fouls to get her to the 3-pt line. KML has options, and a lot of them are nice.
