Lena Dunham is a pretty talented writer, and I suspect she doesn't mind at all that her show is polarizing, or that her nudity is upsetting to many. (I thought her "nude" skit on SNL about Eve and the apple was hilarious). It's actually interesting that the show's demographics do not skew young or female. Despite the characters being incredibly self-centered and mostly unlikable, Girls is a hoot to watch. I thought the episode where Hannah's grandmother passed was especially well-done. Judd Apatow, whose product I'm guessing many of Girls' detractors like, is very involved as her mentor.
