And fans are certainly excited to see the teams back in action, with demand significantly higher this season compared to last. For 2014-15, UConn basketball tickets to see the mens team are three times as expensive (on average) compared to last season. According to Easy Seat, a partner of the UConn Huskies, the average price for Connecticut men’s home games this season is $177, compared to just $49 for 2013-14. That’s more than triple the price to see the defending champs on the hardwood.

Secondary market. I agree though, prices seem crazy and not reality.

The university will clarify things. IMO the article clearly outweighs the negatives. The operative here is demand. That will excite recruits and any conference that might be considering expansion.
