UConn finally gets some respect from the human voters.

South Carolina beat 9 of the final Top 25 this season. Amazing!

For most of the teams, the final ranking is close to where they finish in the tournament.

UConn finishes ahead of:

--All Big East teams (not surprising)

--Tennessee (not surprising, but always welcome)

--Ohio State (team that knocked us out last year)

--Stanford (team whose coach leads Geno in wins)

--NC State, Texas, UCLA, and Notre Dame (teams that beat us in the regular season)

This is a big step up from 10th last year.

UConn finally gets some respect from the human voters.

Oftentimes, life presents us many rivers to cross before we can get to the mountain top. At times, some are much deeper, longer, and wider than others, but the goal is to finish the task. So with the Huskies’ 23-24 season once again derailed by injuries, many people (writers, announcers, other teams, even some fans, etc.) doubted their abilities to perform at a higher level. But thanks to Geno, his staff, and the athletes, they collectively showed what skills, talent and determination can do. Yes, they lost in the FF, and are distraught over it. But, it’s an accomplishment all the schools not named SCAR, Iowa, NC State and UConn dream about. Go Huskies! Go UConn!!

Outside of number one ranked South Carolina, This might be the most balanced top 25 of all time. The game has really grown.
Maybe the team at the top has changed but the difference is still very big between the top and number 2.
