9/18/2018 against URI, David Pindell was 20-27 (74.1%) for 319 yards with 4 TDs and 1 INT. He also rushed for 137 and 2 TDs on the ground! His QBR that week was 86.8
That was one entertaining game even if the defenses were horrible. The last time I had seen URI was in Burlington against UVM, a 0-0 tie. Not quite the same Yankee Conference flavor as the old days.

Roberson needs more chances to take deep shots down the field, to throw on 1st down, and to target Joly and Ross, and to get Clercius a little more involved.

- Passing on 1st down:
Last 2 gms: 15-18, 240 yds (16 ypc), 3 tds, 1 int
First 4 gms: 24-47, 196 yds (8.1 ypc), 2 tds, 1 int

- Completed passes of 25+ yds:
Last 2 gms: 7
First 4 gms: 4

- Joly, Ross, Clercius combined:
Last 2 gms: 23 catches, 306 yds, 2 tds
First 4 gms: 28 catches, 271 yds, 1 tds

- Joly, Ross, Clercius combined catches of 25+ yds:
Last 2 gms: 5
First 4 gms: 2

Because Fagnano was a mediocre QB at the FCS level. We only gave Mora the benefit of the doubt because of last season, but we knew better all along.

So basically, you subscribe to the Boneyard theory that players can never improve from year to year. And you add on that Mora is a poor coach. BTW, I am NOT advocating for Fagnano. But I find the speculation on this board is not very rational. And the idea that Fagnano only started because he was someone favorite son is thinly veiled mind reading. Which I know for a fact is something no one on the site is capable of.

I also question your contention that "everybody" said Roberson looked the best in camp. Mora clearly stated coming out of fall practice that Fagnano had started to separate himself from the competition. The head coach should most certainly be included in "everybody."

What we have here is a bunch of posters using 20-20 hindsight after Roberson played a very good game. Then piling their pet unsupportable theories on top. It is entertaining and makes fun reading. And in that context, you win.

Dan O was in the top 10 in nearly every statistical category when he was here.
The game against Wake (2003, we won by a score of something like 52-10) was possibly the best passing performance by us ever.
