That's right Courtney was home schooled this year I forgot.

Aja Wilson looks like one of those game changers you need today in the video they showed on ESPNU.

3. Two good. With Texas-bound Ariel Atkins, who has rapidly risen to the top of the class, and UConn signee Gabby Williams, who's back from a knee injury, the West seems to have the edge at the 2-guard spot. The East combats that dynamic duo with proven scorers Alexa Middleton (Tennessee) and Sadie Edwards (UConn), but the combination of size and athleticism on the West gives it the edge. Depending on the matchups, the West has the versatility to assist in defending the point guard spot as well, which makes it better in the backcourt overall. Advantage: West

Speaking of Gabby Williams, I'm not sure what to think of this paragraph from Carl Adamec's story on the McD's AA announcement: http://snyuconn.com/uconn/edwards-williams-named-to-mcdonalds-game/#more-10722

Williams twisted her surgically repaired right knee during a Jan. 21 win over Spanish Springs but played in Reed High’s games last Friday and Saturday. She said Wednesday that she is taking a break as she awaits a second opinion on an MRI that she had last Friday.

It does make you wonder what the first opinion on the MRI said. One typically seeks a second opinion after not liking the first opinion.

I fear this kid is pushing it too fast and too hard for her own good.

No players that are going to Baylor, UNC, Maryland, Penn St, Rutgers or Stanford.
Unc just had a blockbuster class. Tough to get anyone to follow that.
Penn st has 7 frosh I believe.
Baylor, md, stanf each got several top 100 players, but none in the top 20.

With 3 kids going to ucla and two to a bunch of others, you end up with these 24 at just 14 schools.

Baylor, Maryland, and Stanford will not be top 10 teams for awhile
I disagree. I cannot fathom the Cardinal not being a top 10 team the next season or two. Tara will find a way. The young players have come along since early this season, especially Lili Thompson who is now starting. The cupboard is far from bare and more help is arriving in the 2014 class.

Stanford loses a pretty good player, there is no one close to an All American coming up. Tara is a great coach, but she needs someone to work with. Chiney is the only player averaging double figures this year.

I tend to agree, but the cupboard is far from bare. Going to be very interesting to see how Stanford fares the next 2 years. They already landed a top 5 kid (a guard) from 2016. But for 2015 - I think they are on the outside looking in for KL Samuelson (UCONN or ND), and I'm not sure if there are any other top 10 kids looking at them in 2015.

UNC landed Cooper, a top 5 kid from 2015, so it's not like they are going to fall off the map any time soon. And Mulkey has done a stunning job at Baylor after losing pretty much every starter not named Simms. I'm really curious to see how Baylor does next year with no Simms. They do get Prince back but we will see if they are still an elite team, or if they fall outside the top 20.

Every year there is talk of their decline/rebuilding, but I know of no other team (other than UConn and ND) who are always in the mix. My money is always on them when it matters.

Ekmark is not playing in High School this year and Nurse is not eligible since she is from Canada.

Got word that Lanee Belton hasn't played high school ball this season until this week but made the team, I'm sure votes were in by then

Remember Ekmark is not even in high school this year being home schooled and playing only non academic hoops.

No, Te'a Cooper de-committed from UNC last August, and while UNC is still under consideration, Te'a has thus far made unofficial visits to Duke, Georgia, Louisville, Pitt and Tennessee (in addition to UNC).

Looks like the competition might go "south," to USC, NCar, Tenn, and South Bend. Do you think that the Card will not stay on top of their conference?

Elite teams typically have at least one player capable of changing the game. I don't see a game-changer on Stanford's roster next year and it's been a few years since we've said that about a Stanford team (Wiggins to Nneka to Chiney). Those Stanford teams also included Appel, Pedersen and Pohlen, all currently playing in the WNBA. Stanford will have the talent to be a good team, but not an elite team.

Having been diagnosed with a severe but unusual medical problem I can say this. I have had several second opinions. In no case, has it been at my request. Every time it has been ordered by the "first opinion" doctor as consultation/verification/review of their diagnosis. Many times in medicine things aren't cut and dried, interpretation of test and diagnostic imaging results are as much an art as a science. My experience with second opinions hasn't been so much that the original opinion is disliked for its result, but rather for its uncertainty, and another set of eyes, a fresh perspective has been brought in. It tends also to be a good way to bring genuine heavy hitters in the field into the case, as little old nobody me has had my case reviewed by nationally and internationally renowned neurological specialists, true giants and pioneers in their fields.
