What else can you say? Why else did he decide to run his team into the ground early causing them to spit the bit late? The strategy cooked his best player. I guess he didn't trust his team was good enough to win playing straight-up.

Right, they just did'nt maybe couldn't press that way second half. They seemed gassed and their defense broke down. They were the best team in the country all year except tonight?

We shot 63% from the field in the 2nd half. 14/22 with 13 of them made in the paint. Florida defense? Pfffft.....

Great call. Those guys were toast by the half.

It really was quite noticeable how tired Florida looked in the 2nd half. Our team speed and ball pressure really got to them and once Ollie nailed Olander to the bench in the 2nd half and went small, Florida could not handle the pressure. Great in-game coaching adjustment.

I love this line, it is hard to watch when he is in the game!!!!!
To be fair to Olander no one was stopping Young tonight, but agreed with the above posters, brilliant move sticking with the small lineup in the 2nd half.

Ollie is a coaching beast. He has out coached some big names this tournament. It is nothing short of amazing. He is a great floor coach and has some of the best in game adjustments I have ever seen from a college coach.

Donovan was. We took TO out and he took out Young to match us and go small

Also to be fair to TO, anytime we touched a big, the whistles blew. Many, many touch fouls on our end, not so at the other end.

The only reason TO was in was because both our other 5s were in foul trouble.

Ollie looks like the best in-game adjustment coach in the NCAA. He spots trends and responds extremely well, quickly.

Yup. Good observation. Donovan was horrible at exploiting mismatches. UConn would get caught in a bad switch, and instead of spreading out the floor and getting the ball to that favorable matchup, they'd allow UConn to recover.

When UConn would find themselves with a mismatch Ollie had them well coached to take advantage of it.

Ollie keeps on outcoaching his counterpart.

To be fair, Ollie has Napier and Boat running the point. Right now they are using a good amount of the clock trying to get the right matchups and exploit them. They spent about 15 seconds trying to get the ba to Daniels one play when he had Hill on him. That is patience and understanding what your coach wants.
