Conference semi-final game threads - AAC

Temple vs South Florida about 6:30, ESPNU

We're trying one thread per conference to see how this works. Hopefully it will eliminate confusion about which game is being discussed.

Big win by Temple last night (and they looked pretty good doing it.) I think they have done just enough with what has gone on elsewhere to get an NCAA bid. And tonights game should be good - the teams split their home and home, so no guarantee on who wins the game on a neutral court.

Can Temple give USF a game? They have already, but I think Courtney is on a mission. In addition to being the leading scorer in the conference (22.2), she is the 4th leading rebounder (8.7). At 5'8"!

I tend to agree with Mil. Not sure what seed Temple will end up with, but it seems like they've done more than enough to be in the big dance. I'd like to see USF win, actually, to see if they can get a better seed than an 8. Given that they are ranked 20, and have been for most of the year, it seems illogical that they are an 8 seed...

The problem is they do not have a single signature win - they had their chances in a good OOC but couldn't get past Baylor, Louisville, or MissState, and also lost to St Johns. The RPI is 25 which is good, THE win is just not there. I would love for them to get a 7 seed as I think they could match up against a 2 seed quite well especially if they are healthy.
