As a direct comparison...

Providence beat UConn 90-76 in an exhibition.

In their next game, Providence got whipped against Carleton.

Look at what Carleton has done in their exhibitions...they’ve beaten Providence, Wisconsin, Wichita and TCU. They went to OT against Syracuse. They’ve beaten Baylor and Valpo in summer tour games.

Guy just might be able to coach a little bit.

I like this guy a lot. He'd want to surround himself with someone who has been around the block for a while to help show him how the NCAA functions but I think it could be a home run hire

Multiple guys. He's need a staff like Moore/Hobbs/Chillious. Not that that would happen. Just speaking to the level of quality and experience.

Not sure this guy is on the AD's radar.

OT- but that Exhibition game showed what this team was all about. We got beat like that like 8 more times.

Definitely an out there choice but dudes clearly a winner

Sometimes you need to think outside the box. This is definitely outside the box but I think he would have Canadian recruits on lockdown and clearly has the ability to coach young student athletes that want to win championships. He’s my guy if I were AD...

He’s a good coach... we need a good coach.

He beat Wisconsin the year they went to the final 4. Consistently beat NCAA teams. Lost to Cuse when they were ranked #4 a few years back.

I don’t think we should hire him, but surely there’s a mid-major out there who could immediately upgrade their program.

Say Vermont, if Becker leaves.

Sure, why not? We hit the jackpot once before by gambling on a little known lifer at Northeastern.

My thought is this...while someone like Hurley would be a solid choice whom would make UConn a winner again, I’d rather roll the dice on the one who may become that rare, exceptional coach.

Chances are he won’t be but I’d rather take that chance than settle for solid good.
