(Didn't see it anywhere-- sorry if I missed it.)

Nice ESPN article HERE

"I always come back to the lessons I learned from Coach [Geno] Auriemma in how you treat people and how you need to respect everyone from Player 1 to Player 15 on your team," she said."

Be-ROOO-be! (Sp.?)

I always thought she--like Kelly Faris- was a stabilizing force on the court.

Carla's free throw sealed the del on the 1995 championship. Pretty good for a freshman.

I've seen that pose before ;):D (click below....) Poses and stances aside, I'm well aware of (and the article reinforces) how Carla is a product of Geno & Chris and is part of the UConn family. Cheers and well-done.

Seems like Carla has certainly made a great program at Tufts. After 15 years there, does anyone think she'd ever take on a D-1 post if the right one presents itself? I don't know her personal situation, but is there something that she loves/keeps her in Boston (besides an obviously good situation at a great school)?

I have heard the take on Carla's free throws at the end of the 1995 championship game many, many times...as Nan has referenced above.
My recollection: we were up 68-64....with just a few seconds left. Carla was fouled and hit both....70-64.
Unless we were silly enough to foul a trey shooter in the last 4 or 5 seconds....the margin was effectively a two possession game before and after Carla's shots.
BTW: At one point during Carla's career one Pat S described her as the glue to UConn's team play.

Berube is fouled at 7:03 and the two free throws start at 7:10, in this recap video of the 1995 championship.
