Circa 2011-12 Diamond DeShields recruited Mavunga, Gray & Washington to NC to play with her. Diamond's pupil Te'a Cooper also committed to UNC. In order to make room for these players UNC had to withdraw scholarships from instate players the Day sisters who later ended up at Syracuse. Obviously back then social media wasn't what it today but it wasn't like Diamond was trying to hide anything.I'm haven't historically been a close follower of the recruiting scene, but can anyone remember a time when one commit publicly puts on a full court press like Paige has done with Azzi? I don't think I've seen it before.
A twist on NC and Syracuse. Syracuse goes on to the championship game of the NCAA Tournament and NC never gets close and loses all those recruits.Circa 2011-12 Diamond DeShields recruited Mavunga, Gray & Washington to NC to play with her. No kidding!!Don't know if she is even still in the UCONN mix but Jillian Hollingshead is noticeably thicker in upper body and lower body. Same very versatile skill set handles and the ability to step out and know down the three.
As a HS sophomore her game was mostly 3 and stretch 4. With this new physique she might be more power 4 now.
