A pure foreign team is hard. Lets keep in mind that many of our players had parents that were born on islands and foreign countries : Emeka , Kemba, Alex O , Shabazz , Edmond and maybe a few others but that doesn't count. Also our players from planet WTF? , Like Johnny Selvie and Sticks , don't count either.

1. Sheffer
2. Nadav
3. Denham
4. Souleymane
5. Thabeet

2nd team
1. ?
2. ?
3. Niels
4. Ater Majok
5. Chuck O

All except Niels - needs to replace Souley on 1st team……..

I can't disagree . I was going by natural position and also that ocassional , sweet little , mid range jumper Souley was showing us that 99 season. But yeah Niels deserves it even if he's under sized.

I would take Giffey over D. Brown everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. When we added Giffey to the starting line-up, we won the whole thing. When we took D. Brown out of the starting line-up we won the whole thing.

Shabazz has Puerto Rican citizenship. A stretch but he would be a good addition.

Have to have Henefeld on the first team. He could crush Souley.

How old are you? I assume you never seen henefield or sheffer play.

I agree. Nadav would be your power forward. As I said above, he would crush Souley. And Sheffer would slide into the two.

Anyone who picks Souley over Henefeld is on pure crack cocaine. 3rd post in a row.

You have to include Denham in the starting five because he is one of our best "foreign"players. Niels can play the 4. Denham the 3. By the way, Niels will be in the NBA one day.

I'd swap Niels and Denham between the 1st and 2nd teams.

Which Israeli player (i.e. Deron or Nadav) did we used to call the assassin?

Hopefully by the time they leave Brimah and Facey will make filling out the second team much easier. Hell Brimah's three point play against St. Joe's already places him above most other people you could put on the second team. ;-)

The 4 is reserved for Henefeld, who was much better than Brown or Giffey.

By the way, Niels will be in the NBA one day.

I'll take that bet.

Doron iirc. Israeli Assassin. [EDIT: Just looked it up and found only one reference to the "Israeli Assassin". They did call him the "Israeli Ice Man" over in Israel though.]

Nadav's nickname in Israel is "The Gaza Stripper" for his penchant for stealing the ball.

I always thought henefield was a wing. My memories failing
I would have called him our first point forward, good handle with the ball

Nadav was undersized for a PF, but that is what he would have been with Burrell at the 3. He had such great awareness and anticipation. Also, he was as cool as they come....nothing ever seemed to rattle him at all.
