BYU might want back in the Mountain West after reading the last line of that article.

BYU more than makes up for it with its TV deal with ESPN and BYU TV. That said, Boise cut a deal with the MWC to keep its own TV money while playing a MWC schedule, and I imagine BYU may get a similar or even better deal with the MWC if it wanted.

Another way to look at that chart is not to think of it as the loss of AAC revenue. Most of the AAC is the old Conference USA minus UConn and Temple. So you could take the "BEFORE" numbers from Conference USA and compare that to the "AFTER" numbers from the AAC. $2,992,757 - $15,214,320. Although what is ironic in that is that the new Conference USA 2.0 made more than the AAC.

Mountain West $23,465,188
Conference USA $16,339,754
AAC $15,214,320
MAC $14,088,886
Sun Belt $11,963,453

Another way to look at it is to compare the AAC to the PAC 12. The old Big East and PAC 12 each made $27,897,751. Now the PAC 12 makes $69,328,611 compared to $15,214,320 for the AAC...........a difference of $54,114,291. That's on pace to be over half a billion dollar net loss in just 10 years.

It is very helpful to UConn fans that you clarified that.
