Football players need to be able to play fast, not necessarily be fast. Not at the FBS level. Diagnose and react with football instincts. If this young man has these traits the hope is we're still in on him.Like how aggressive he was on offense, defense, and blocking. Doesn't seem to have breakaway speed but gets off to a quick start and makes nice gains.
Chris Fournier is a 6-4 285lb Lehigh University Grad Transfer OL originally from Ontario Canada who attended high school in Alexandria Virginia.
He announced he was entering the portal back in November. Since then he has offers from Central Connecticut, Duquesne, Maine, New Hampshire (2nd time), Rice, Samford, Toledo, Towson, Western Carolina and Western Illinois.
Appears he has one year of eligibility remaining.
Interesting that three Rutgers staffers started following this kid today. It’s like old times, Randy offers and then others take notice.Appears to be the number #1 target to replace Wyant. Started all 11 games both his sophomore (2018) and junior (2019) years. Actually started 3 games as a freshman too. Civil engineering major -- I like smart OLs . Just based on that, sounds like a good one.
We are (arguably - national flag blue-colored glasses on) his best offer, we wouldn't have offered so quickly after Wyant entered the portal if the staff didn't think he could slot right in, and we have a great engineering program. Don't be surprised if he ends up here, and soon.
