No host sites out west...
mlananna 8:40pm via Twitter Web Client
Regional hosts by conference:
SEC: LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St, TAMU, VU, UF, SC
ACC: UM, UL, CU, UVa, NCSU, FSU
Big 12: TCU, TTU
Sun Belt: ULL
All of the regionals are basically in the southeast.
13 out of 16 host sites from the SEC and ACC. That's pretty dominating.
Crazy to be in this thread thinking back to the first post by @ucjoet where he broke down what needed to happen and rather than going through the back door the team goes out and wins the damn tournament. What a season it has been.
I know a lot of teams are hoping not to see penders crew in their region
So the way I am seeing this is I have an 8 in 14 chances of going. 8 of those sites are within good driving distance of Atlanta. Then I figure Tulane is going to stay regional in either Baton Rouge or Lafayette and so they would not put us in the same site as Tulane. And East Carolina will probably stay local to Raleigh or maybe Charlottesville so we would not go there either. Hoping for Clemson, Columbia or Nashville as those are the three closest.Division I Baseball: 16 regional sites selected for 2016 championships

The remaining at-large teams, top-eight national seeds, first-round regional pairings and site assignments will be announced at Noon (ET), Monday, May 30. The one-hour program will be shown live on ESPNU. The committee will set the entire 64-team bracket through both the super regionals and the first round of the Men’s College World Series, and will not reseed the field after play begins.<<
