With First Night right around the corner, it's time to lay down some predictions on how this season will unfold. To be specific, I'm talking about team results, with my own examples below. I'm not looking for individual accomplishments like DD's draft position and whether Bazz makes 1st team AA.

What are your expectations, and what do you consider the ceiling and floor for this team?

Expectations
Regular season: 25-6 (2nd in AAC)
AAC Tournament: Runners up
NCAA Tournament: #3 Seed, Elite 8

Ceiling
Regular season: 28-3 (1st in AAC)
AAC Tournament: Champs
NCAA Tournament: #2 Seed, National champions if matchups break the right way

Floor
Regular season: 21-10 (4th in AAC)
AAC Tournament: Semis
NCAA Tournament: #7 Seed, 2nd round

Aside from missing two regular season games, looks about right.

We have 31 regular season games.

I counted 29 on the ESPN schedule. Were they missing 2 from preseason tournaments?

Edit: I miscounted, and there were 30 listed, plus 1 extra vs. Indiana or UW after BC.

School's website has the full list. ESPN has 30 and is missing the Indiana/Washington game since the opponent is unknown.

Well looks like UConns chances against UL just* went up:

As a side note the slide in charge just* got harder for Duke.

"Just" is obviously not true, but completely missed this before, so it just happened in my mind. Lol

funny to hear Pitino talk about getting back to free flowing movement when Louisville is as guilty as any team of playing defense with their hands all over people.

I thought Pitino was kinda cool, up until the whole, 'Why would UConn want to leave camelot'

comments by him... and before that during the 2011 title run he was a Kemba hater saying,

'he's not Michael Jordan (to be getting every call his way from the refs)'

coaching aside, Pitino is a two faced hypocrite i guess is my point. . .

"I Can. I Will. I Must." win one game at a time, with Ten Toes In.

I think we'll be under 10 losses. Not sure where that puts us. Anywhere from a #1 to a #5 seed.

Keep in mind we play every team in our league twice. Its not easy to beat the good teams two times in the same season especially on their court. Id sign up right now for a split with Louisville. Memphis is good, Temple has been a tournament team the last few years, and Cincy is always tough. Dont forget our tough OOC schedule as well. Add in our annual WTF loss or two and it probably adds up to 24-25 wins. I just want a top 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament and the East region so we can play at MSG. It would be nice for us to have the home court advantage in the tournament for once.
