My sense it is to drive student interest/culture to the team/building. They normally get in free to all home UConn sports/games as part of their student fees (this game they had to claim tickets I believe)...What is the reason for Student only game? Do they get in for free?

It's their university. Wouldn't be surprised if some of them had never seen a hockey game. They will make some fans tonight.
$2 beer night would help!Great event for the students. Kudos to the athletic department for putting this together. Should be a loud and very invested crowd. A 6 or 7 goal outburst for the good guys would make it a crazy night.
This x1000. I was there last night and it helped with the crowd without a doubt. Game time has a lot to do with it too. Noon basketball games and 3:05 / 4:05 hockey games are hard to get a buzz on and get the crowd into it.$2 beer night would help!
It couldn’t hurt.$2 beer night would help!
