►► A writer for USA Today posits this ultimate restructuring of College Football.
► 1. Four 16 team "Mega-Conferences" emerge.
2. To capture all of the cash-flow from post-season play, the Megas leave
the NCAA and set up their own governance system.
3. The NCAA remnant (in hoops) struggle along with their own pre-split players
but after a few years basketball recrutment is devestated in the NCAA.
4. The new conference reigns supreme, the NCAA becomes minor league.
The Megas make very many millions.
* Since the NCAA will no longer make the rules ... what's to stop them from
"harvesting" good NCAA players with financial inducements and letting them play
immediately? The NCAA could become a minor league for the Megas.
