I'm heading out to Illinois. My dad went home to be with his (our) heavenly Father this evening. He put up a good fight. He will always be remembered and loved.

Even though he didn't really follow Huskies closely, he would always ask me how they were doing, because he knew what a fan I was.

Thoughts and prayers go out to you and the fam. I lost my Granddad two days before X-Mas several years back, and a very close friend and teammate of mine in '09 the week of Thanksgiving. Zach Hurd came to our school and talked to us and the one thing I remember him telling me personally, is to stay strong. Times like these are ones that remind us to cherish every moment with have with everybody.
