Perfect off season thread for an imperfect off season.

In addition to the screenshot, my order included 2 graphic novels: "The Jew of New York" by Ben Katchor, and "Ghost World" by Dan Clowes (which was made into a movie with Scarlet Johansen, Thora Burch, Steve Buscemi, and Ileana Douglas).

It was roughly 3 months before 77-74, and another 2-3 months before I migrated from AOL to The Boneyard for the first time.

Tempis fugit...

Geez, I was criticized for starting a best Officials thread. I thought this was a basketball site.

I would put Without Remorse up there with it for underrated. If only he would still write his own stuff.

Without Remorse is great book. I've always thought it would make a good movie but it is more or less Death Wish.

Red Storm rising is great as well. It was really detailed and interesting. I felt that I needed one of those big wall maps to follow action.

Ironically, it was two books about Husky basketball, purchased April 22, 2005. That was a week before my Dad's birthday, and these books were his gift. He's now been gone for almost two years, miss him everyday!

They're making a movie with Michael B Jordan. Supposed to be out in October.

Love Red Storm Rising. Most underrated Clancy book.
I remember bringing this up in staff meetings back in the day (the day being midst of Able Archer exercises) Have to say, most of us were laughing and hooting at how an insurance salesman viewed the activities of various military units. Nothing Clancy wrote is under-rated, it's all wet slippery barely coagulated feces.

Oh and apparently I bought gift cards back in 2001. Didn't anything again until 2005, and it was books, textbooks at that.
