Refs didn't miss the call, they didn't call it because they didn't want to call it.
Not only did the defender hit him way before the ball got there, he wrapped his arm around him and spun the receiver around.
It would be an inexcusable no call in the first quarter. Not calling that with the game on the line is just disgusting.
The kids deserve so much better than this.

Defense was tremendous once again. Late non-call may have cost us the game, but if Nick completes routine passes in the first half or the OL doesn’t get pushed around, it wouldn’t have mattered.
it was UConn -1.5. With ACC refs that's not even a tossup.

That 3 and 1 call and then not going for it on 4th and 1 sealed the game. Did not like that decision. Also, seemed like the spot they gave us was bad again

It did regarding injured OLinemen.
In fairness, Wake’s secondary might have been the worst we have seen all year, sans Merrimack. They were a low level MAC group, not a legit power 4 unit. Our receivers were getting open every play, Nick should have had even better numbers.

One per game would be a good rule change. If you’re wrong, you lose a TO. If you don’t have any TOs left, it’s a penalty on you and loss of down

It was a bad spot and it was inexcusable Mora and Sammis didn't know what was happening on the field. Spot needed to he challenged and you can't ever run the wrong play because you don't know what down it is. It was just really terrible coaching.
That being said, it didn't seal the game. The refs sealed the game with the blatant no call at the end. We either tie or win the game if they do their jobs.

Got wrapped up right when Nick let the ball go. Total hose job.
I think it would keep the refs a little more honest. If they reviewed and it's overturned, they look like fools.
