Wow! Holy Gamoly!!! This is the highlight of my day! Couldn't believe this! I am so proud of the Lady Husky Icers, as I am sure everyone back in Storrs is.

The UConn women's ice hockey team, which has been ranked at times through the years, has had a tough 2017-2018, finishing the regular season with a 13-12-9 record (for those unfamiliar with hockey, that's 13 wins, 12 losses, 9 ties) and facing a tough task in the Hockey East tournament as the #7 seed. Well, they've been rampaging through the tournament, beating Providence, ranked #10 nationally, and Boston College, ranked #3 nationally, to get to the tournament final against Northeastern.

Reminds me of the 2011 men’s basketball team. They won 5 games at the BEast tournament, got a 7 seed in the NCAAs and ended up shocking the world.
