Tough, flukey loss. UConn played as well if not better than them all game and then with a couple minutes left a puck pops up in the air and lands right to a UMass guy near the slot who whacks it past Vomacka.
Love watching this team play though. They throw the body around non-stop and aren't afraid of anyone. Old school hockey.

We've always had big kids but it seems Capone has set the tone to have everyone just have an all-out assault on the body.
Really sucks this team can't play in front of 5-7K at the XL center. While the XL can get really loud when they are playing well it can have library moments when we're getting dominated by the elite teams.
That wouldn't be happening this year - and when you're in a packed arena and hits are flying everywhere - the place would be loud as hell.

We will win some games this year but this one was so tough. But this team looks like a real Hockey East club. Fast big and tough. Agree it is tough not to have fans. A rocking arena can help in close ones sometimes too.

Hey, no one loves a good bitch session more than me...I can’t believe we can’t get games with Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart scheduled. Also, how about AIC? All quality teams some of whom have gotten the best of us over the years....and pretty close to Storrs right?
