Joseph P. Riley Park: Riley Park is more than a playing field for the Bulldogs. The Citadel clubhouse, affectionately named “Chal’s House” after legendary head coach Chal Port, provides individual lockers for each player, a coaches’ locker room and office and meeting space and a full amenity bathroom facility.

The park, which The Citadel shares with the Charleston RiverDogs of the South Atlantic League, features one of the best playing surfaces in college baseball (Bermuda grass), a scoreboard and video board which were introduced during the 2013 season, party areas, luxury suites and a press box with separate radio booths and a large control room to run the video board and other game-day activities.

The pitching will be put to the test in this 5 game stretch (4 against Citadel, 1 against Costal Carolina)

If I were to guess we’ll see Cate, Feole, Gardner, Kersten, Ronnie.

Let's go Huskies.

Glad there's so much baseball and hockey this weekend to get my mind off MBB

With the addition of the Quinnipiac game on March 20, UConn now has two 5 game weeks in a row, a big change from playing three games on just the weekends. I would agree that Kersten will probably be the primary midweek starter. Rossomando or Colby Dunlop (the coaches loved his arm in the preseason) are good guesses for the second weekday starting spot. Still, that second midweek game could very well evolve into just being a staff day. Whatever the case, were going to see a lot more of the pitching staff used than what we’ve seen over the first three weekends of the season. With the addition of the midweek games, it would also be a good time for Cate, Feole, and Gardner to start delivering consistent quality starts to take some pressure off the bullpen.

Pretty good free video quality on the SoCon stream, even with slomo replays.

UConn pitchers must have worked their butts off after the SELA series because they’ve been great controlling the running game

Cate struggling to start the bottom of the 3rd. Can't walk the bottom this order, this isn't exactly South Carolina.

Nice rebound to strike out the #9 hitter, not sure why they were bunting with two strikes though. 2 on, 1 out, leadoff hitter up for The Citadel.

The color commentator sounds like a red neck trucker southern accent super homer. Hard to listen. Please Huskies, crush these guys.

Simple solution. Leave the video feed on, and turn on Chris Jones.

Moriarty makes a diving catch of a line drive and turns it into a double play to end the bottom of the 5th with UConn still up 2-0.
