I checked cause I was surprised, they finished 9th somehow.
I was surprised too. Apparently the final AP Poll is released each year prior to the NCAA Tournament, so their run wouldn't be reflected. That 2011 squad peaked at No. 4 in the AP Poll that season.

Scoring Notes
  • Despite being UConn's all-time scoring leading, Chris Smith just misses the cut, as his final year was 31 seasons ago.
  • Albert Mouring had the lowest PPG mark (15.1 PPG in 2000-01) of any qualifying player and was still the most common answer.
  • Jeff Adrien was the closest incorrect response, as he tallied 14.8 PPG in his junior season.
  • Here's a full list of the 32 qualifying season.
If you're wondering who cheated in this game, just refer to the people who entered Mouring for this question. Serves you right, you unscrupulous scoundrels!

You know, this argument nearly swayed me, as the question does say "years" and not seasons. But even still, Chris Smith's final game was technically over 30 years ago and thus outside the span of "over the last 30 years."

I promise none of these were meant to be trick questions. Perhaps a couple were clunkily worded - I'm doing my best to be stern but fair in my judgements.

And while some people may be losing points on technicalities, others will make them back in the same way - a few already have!

Man that Chris Smith one hurts. Not gonna challenge it because I'm probably going to come in last place anyways.
Thanks for running this, understand the need to make firm judgement calls on some of these otherwise it would be anarchy.
Really would have sworn Smith's last year was 1993, got those years messed up

Scoring Notes

  • R.J. Cole red-shirted in Storrs while still in the AAC, but did not play for UConn in two different conferences.
  • Some creative answers with a couple walk-ons making the cut, including Matt Garry and Tor Watts.
  • Thanks to @wheelerdog for pointing out that players who were on UConn during the initial move to the Big East technically weren't in two conferences given that UConn was independent for a few years prior.
  • @SubbaBub is the leader with -511 heading into the final 3 questions. @methodology (-483) and @Hungryhusky99 (-482) are next, with @Cassius Klaiber and @NH Husky rounding out the top 5 with -478 apiece.

Wasn't UConn independent pre Big East? The Yankee conference broke up in the mid 70s.
That's a great point - I initially counted guys who went from independent to the Big East as being in two conferences, but really it's just one. I will adjust the scores.

Yep when we lost the sutobif
We were associated with a group of Independent eastern schools
Called the ECAC There was no conference championship but schools from their divisions held playoffs for NCAA at large bids
We upset the highly favored PC team with Wilber Cross. star Soupy Campbell
1979 . The Big East was founded May 1979

I hear everyone's outcry on the Jeremy Lamb ruling, and I've weighed the evidence very carefully. You've all made compelling cases.

But sheep must be ruled with an iron fist; the initial scoring stands.

Jeremy Lamb's contract with the Kings expired July 1 and he's been an unrestricted free agent since. In my estimation, being an active NBA player requires being on an NBA team. He'll be "active" again when he signs his next deal.

Your argument did persuade me to potentially disallow Kemba on the same grounds, but despite reports he was finalizing a buyout with the Pistons, it still hasn't actually happened yet and he stays on Detroit's payroll until it's completed.
we are using your estimation instead of the actual nba description of active Lolol all good I had no shot anyway, I don’t know why I thought Khalid’s game winner where he jumped on the table at Pitt would be on everyone’s mind.

The last Yankee Confetrncr roster
Not a bad team
Jim Abromaitis would have been acceptable. Because of injuries he had a PG year. He was on the 1979-80 team
Is that the last one? Wow that was a pretty nice team. Didn’t they win the ECAC at PC a couple years later? Or was it this team that beat Sly Williams URI?
That ECAC team was with Corny and MCKay

that was in 1979 with Corny and McKay
