Yes - It's early but old habits die hard. Cavanaugh has been plagued by such inconsistent performances for his entire stretch. I have been critical of him for years because of this. The ultimate tease - should have had a 3 point weekend. Instead we get an 0 fer and loss of any national recognition. This is on the coaches. (Watch the sycophants come out of the woodwork now...)

No one can defend this performance. Not even F. Lee Bailey. I love this team, but this was unacceptable.

Gotta tip your hat to OSU. The BiG has a really really strong hockey league. The Boys will get back to work on Monday and get ready for next weekend. The season is a grind so you have to be a grit grinder.

1. Ohio State is bad.
2. B1G hockey is "eh" at best. Its probably the 3rd best league?
3. I cannot wait for the false dawn of a 10-game unbeaten run in January leading into the Hockey East Tournament where they lose again. If you lose one game where you blow a 3-0 lead and the other where you get shutout, no, you did not deserve better- you got exactly what you deserved.

As of the October 11 ranking they have 3 teams in the top 20 and HE has 3 teams there. Kind of a wash, I’d say.

On a positive note, Lady Ice Bus is off to a 6-0 start. I think their coach might be set up to take the program to the next level once he gets the new barn to sell recruits. He's at least won some postseason games in Hockey East,
