Well, thankfully we are as good as Army's second string. For whatever it's worth, we look better so far in the third quarter...

Well, as long as this staff and their offensive consultant are calling the shots, Tyler Phommachanh is QB.

Moment wasn't bigger than him and that's big.

When he gets his feet set underneath him, his arm and his touch are plenty good enough. He's wild while throwing on the run but that is to be expected considering his size.

Tyler Phommachanh and Newton were the revelations today as playmakers.

Do receivers tackle on defense???

Both things can be true. This was always going to be a blowout because the defense was noncompetitive. We also left 14-21 points on the field because the receivers totally let him down

Well, to his credit, Tyler P kept playing. So did the rest of the team. Yeah, it was against the B team, but at least it looked remotely like football in the second half...

Baby steps is all we can hope for at this point…

Tyler P looks dynamic and totally changes our offense. Encouraging Signs of life vs both the first and second stringers.

Defense at least competed the whole game and definitely responded to Spanos’ halftime words. yes it was Second team offense but at least it looked like they figured out the triple option a bit more and made some hard tackles.

Going forward staff needs to make sure Tyler Phommachanh has throwing lanes.

We all saw a few batted down passes from D Linemen. Yes, part of that is on OLine to improve and keep defenders from getting their arms free but reality is Tyler Phommachanh is 5'10" and, short of a miracle, isn't growing more than another 1/2-1 inch.

When Tyler Phommachanh moves the pocket he created natural throwing lanes but staff needs to work on getting seams in the pocket for him.

I’m primarily worried that we keep both Tyler Phommachanh and Steven Krajewski here in the off-season. QB’s get hurt, especially running QBs. We have two good talents on the roster and we need them both to push each other and back each other up. Even in our best years, our backup became our starter most of the time. Both guys will play and have their chances if they stay.

Agree but unfortunately some only have a few years left to prove what they can do. Leading to explore options. With tps size and mobility maybe try using both. Who ever has the hot hand that’s who you stick with use it in a game by game basis. We know Steven Krajewski is tough. He’s literally went up against our hardest opportunities we’ve had to date. Idk how Tyler Phommachanh does getting hit play after play like Steven Krajewski did in Purdue

I hope they stick with Tyler Phommachanh. He's athleticism look to cause a headache for Army's defense on several occasions. Opening up some opportunities for the offense.

Right. His athleticism shifted the pocket and angles for the defense. Tyler Phommachanh was very good making the first defender miss which is another skill which agitated Defensive Coordinators.

As announcers said his next level of development is to lean how to live another day by sliding and not trying to squeeze out every last yard.

There's another 5'10 qb that was great in college and even won a superbowl. Not saying Tyler Phommachanh will turn into a Russell Wilson, but if they continue to play to his strengths like they did, there's no reason why he can't be successfull.

I was thinking Drew Brees but he is 5'11".

Tyler Phommachanh gives the offense a dimension we haven't had since David Pindell and he kept us in a lot of games the defense had no answers in.

I would love for all of them to stay and be great but wouldn’t worry about next year at this time.
