And….we’re not tied to big money in years 3-4-5 when deGrom may likely handcuff the Rangers with his contract.

Never thought I’d say it but I’ll take Verlander for two over Jake for five. Very happy.

Ugh Quintana stinks... but these guys know muuuuuuuuuuuuch more than I do.

Still prefer Rodon to the Japanese SP

Rodon is much better, but also going to cost at least $50M more, with a few extra years on the contract and have to give up draft picks to get him

Quintana at the price is a great get as a 5th starter, he was really good last year

I’m glad they resigned Nimmo. Lifelong Met we can count on to rep us the right way during And after his playing days.

Uncle Stevie not afraid to spend. But 8 years?
It keeps the AAV down and it’s “only” through his age 37 season. OBP skills usually age pretty well and there really isn’t anything left in the CF market both this year and the near future.

Guhhhhhhhhhhh.. That's a lot of money for Nimmo. My wife will be happy, he's her favorite Met outside of Jacob but ughhhh..

Love the Robertson deal, but I kinda wanted him 2 FA cycles ago.

What's next? more SP?

Nimmo was probably looking at around the same amount for 6 years from someone else, so if it makes you feel better just pretend he's playing the last two years for free.

The AAV is low, by 2030 $20 million a year will seem like a bargain.

Sure is nice having an owner who likes to spend.
In Uncle Stevie we trust. Since he's a Connecticut resident, it would be nice if he could toss a few bucks up Storrs way

so where are we on SPs and DHs?

JD Martinez or Nelson Cruz for the RH DH spot?

This gets a "wow" from me.

Yesterday afternoon there was a tweet from a Giants beat writer stating a press conference was postponed. The replies were all mentioning the Mets.
