#OleMiss has been charged with the dreaded Lack of Institutional Control by the NCAA. The school said it will fight that charge.

As part of the ban, Ole Miss will forfeit its portion of SEC postseason football revenue for next year — approximately $7.8 million.

I know it will never happen. But I would love to Ole Miss win the SEC West next year. What would they do then? Do they still get to play in the SEC Championship game since it isn't a Bowl game? And if they win, then what?

That would be poetic justice...but it will never happen.

This video is hilarious. It's like a ransom/hostage video.

Funny how quick the NCAA pulled the trigger on Ole Miss compared to N. Carolina that still hasn't been resolved.

NCAA hasn't leveled any punishment yet on Ole Miss for the new charges. This isn't done yet. My guess is that Freeze doesn't survive this in the end but there is still time for Ole Miss to pull the old NC stall tactics.

Based on all the cheating they did and the long time they did it, UNC should get a five year death sentence, especially since they've been put on a pedestal of student-athlete idealism for years. They are cheaters, pure and simple.

It's unreal how long the UNC investigation has dragged on. Someone doesn't want this to go down really badly. UNC looked like a systemic long-term system to pass athletes through the academic system for eligibility purposes that also jeopardized regular students in the process. Totally egregious lack of control except it was with clear intent.

UNC will go to the SEC. Is there even 20 minutes of video with anyone from UNC addressing the allegations (facts)?

Hit wasn't a lack of control at all. It was a completely intentional process that UNC created. Everyone in the athletic department knew about it and encouraged people to take advantage of it. But maybe that's the secret. The NCAA is good at finding dopey violations like too much texting but something that brazen and that extensive is simply too complicated for them to deal with.

LOL - must have not been enough ;)

Geez - my initial comment was tongue in cheek:
Ole Miss tried to drag rival Mississippi State down in the same NCAA mess, per report

>>Rebel Grove, Ole Miss’ Rivals website, reports that the player Ole Miss boosters allegedly paid is Leo Lewis, a four-star linebacker who went to MSU in the class of 2015. The Rebels, according to reporter Neal McCready, tried to show the SEC some dirt. Ole Miss, per multiple sources, possesses a recording, and has given the SEC a copy, of Lewis’ mother asking Ole Miss for money and detailing incentives she received from other programs, including Mississippi State.<<

The National Craven Cowards Association cannot possibly rule against UNC. If they did, whom could they point to as bastion of student Athleticism? Oh, wait, how about Kentucky basketball, or Louisville, Maybe? Disgusting.

This is going to be fun to watch. If they have tapes...the NCAA is going to struggle with how to do this in a way that doesn't hurt the SEC.

Or the SEC will try and turn this around and claim if student athletes got paid this wouldn't happen and that for the sake of collegiate athletics the Power 5 conferences should be in a separate, Super Div 1(pay day) bracket. After all, they are the victims here(vomit).

Ole Miss is getting jobbed when you consider what goes on in the SEC with paying recruits. It happens a throughout with people turning a blind eye. My brother lives down there and tells me all of what's goes on and how it is swept under the rug until miss at had an issue with ole Miss, but the big four are ignored through it all.
