Sorry for your loss Madmannsucks. This last year has been incredibly hard on those suffering from dementia and their loved ones. Have experienced it too and it is awful. The forced isolation rapidly accelerates the progression of dementia/Alzheimer's.

By the way, she WAS a Huskie fan, and OUR greatest moment was "It's late, it's great, It's Tate" We jumped for joy and hugged during that one.
so sorry to hear of your loss. I also lost my wife in 1999 and often reflect on the great memories surrounding UConn basketball shared with her; The Shot and the first National Championship among many others. One thought I can offer is that your memories will become softer with time and you will dwell less on the Alzheimer ravages and more on the positive memories of sharing your life together.

I'm so sorry to read this @Madmannsucks.

I hope that you have some relief and peace knowing that her pain is over.

Thank you for sharing your struggles and joys with us.

You are a champ and so was she.

Blessings to you in these tough times. I was on this journey with my mom for three years recently, right in the thick of it, and I empathize with you. May your wife, and yourself, find your peace.

My condolences Madmann. This hits especially close to home as my mom was recently diagnosed this past December. Thank you for sharing such personal experiences and know you are far from alone in this.

Thank you all for the kind words. Today is game day-hopefully a win which we will watch together. Her from heaven and me from home. If the cable comes back on. Since my internet is working I am guessing it will.

Very sorry for your loss. I've experienced the same thing. Was my late wife's caretaker for four years.
