O/T 'Leave It to Beaver' star Tony Dow (Wally) dies at 77

(NEXSTAR) – Tony Dow, who starred as Wally Cleaver on “Leave It to Beaver,” has died, his management team confirmed in a statement shared to his official Facebook page. Dow, 77, had recently been diagnosed with cancer, his wife confirmed in May.

RIP Tony.

The show is sometime criticized for be unrealistic. For the post-ww2 ('57) white suburban family, it wasn't that far off. Dow was a good actor as was Mathers and about the only flaw in the the relationship was they didn't look anything alike.

It was a good show that they decided to end with Wally's (Dow) HS '1963 graduation' and plans to go to "State" which i always toook to mean Ohio St for several reasons. Good guy.
