Yesterday was a day for undefeated teams getting exposed. I figured Kansas was next. Maybe not?

Kansas has been a bit surprising, even with their soft schedule. When they lost their opening exhibition game against D2 Pittsburg State, I figured it would be another horrible season with multiple OOC losses to bad teams for them. But they've pulled it together. I'll still be surprised if they contend for an at-large bid, but their improvement should be noted.

One thing that must make it hard on their opponents in terms of scouting is they have remarkably balanced scoring -- 6 players averaging between 10 and 12 ppg. Also noteworthy is that they're a young team -- 4 of those top 6 scorers are freshmen or sophomores.

Natasha Mack with an absolute monster game: 25 pts, 20 rebounds and 9 blocks. (She appeared to get the 10th block with a few minutes left in the game but was called for a foul.)

THe padding for her Kansas OOC was clearly designed to gain wins and allow that coach to retain his job. I just don’t know if the AD is even aware that KU has a women’s team to notice. Let alone see through the ruse.
I guess Texas Tech does have someone in this conference worse than themselves.
