Too close to call. Not worried but have some concerns. Who can ever honestly be confident when visiting Storrs?

If we win, that gives us a comfort pad of one loss for the rest of the season,. If we lose, we have to double down against the remaining Georgias and Miss States. Perhaps y'all have a better level of comfort given your remaining schedule,

Goal is usually a one seed. This year, a two seed is just as good. Nobody but Baylor or TxA&M has a geographic advantage.

Ben Portnoy, Miss State beat writer voted NC State #1 and Louisville #2. He has SC #3 and UConn #4.

I like Connecticut's chances, since this year's team is substantially better than last year's for one obvious reason.

You can scratch off the "home crowd" advantage for tonight's game. I don't think the cardboard cutout's will be making much noise....woof! :p

They also are the only team with 2 top 5 wins.
And better yet, 2 top #1 wins. But still NC State has 2 losses against unranked teams. The 3 teams above them each have 1 loss against ranked teams.
But it doesn't matter really, just wonder why some teams would get 1 or 2 First Place votes unless it is just to impact their overall ranking points.

I remember #1 South Carolina came up to Storrs in the middle of a blizzard six years ago to take on the #2 Huskies. Wish we had that team tonight.
This team is plenty good enough to win this game if they hold their nerve and play up to their capabilities. The thing that has bothered me most about UConn for the last few years is that imo, we have lacked a true alpha. I believe that is no longer the case and, win or lose tonight, better days are here again! Certainly I hope we win tonight’s game but really the only important thing for me is that we are competitive and don’t play scared. That is how I felt we played last year in those three big games. They don’t have to win, just play tough, hard-nosed basketball for 40 minutes and I will be very happy! “The Future’s So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades” should be on every UConn fan’s playlist!
One game, even one against our new Tennessee/Notre Dame doppelgänger, the team that is likely to be our top competitor for the next few years, is pretty insignificant when you look at the talent that is pouring back into the UConn fuel tank. However, all things being equal, they might as well go ahead and win tonight too!

I do not remember the exact numbers but I do recall reading at one point that in games between 1
and 2....when UConn was involved as either the 1 or 2...the record was something like 19-3...UConn owning the 19.

Have you looked at the most recent class? Did you see the SC haul?

Curious as the affiliation of that one voter, as far as the paper he or she works for.
