She was derided this season for her effort and production
Important that they found the cause...physical (serious)
not conditioning or effort.

Here's best wishes for a full recovery

She's played in 9 games, which in most cases is the maximum allowable under the 30% rule for a medical hardship waiver.

Best wishes for Tamari and her health.

a full recovery. Tamara Key is out for the year with blood clots. Hopefully they have found the
problem early and that they can fix early too.

Best of luck to Tamara.
Many here have a longstanding dislike for the Tennessee WBB program and some of their old time fans but not of the individual players.......blood clots can be a life-threatening situation, I'm sure we all wish Ms. Key a safe and speedy recovery......

Blood clots can be a complications of a Covid infection. Not saying that this is the case for Tamari, but a possibility.

Best wishes for a full recovery for Tamari.
A young lady who always plays hard and spares no effort…even when we don’t want her to do so.

These young folks are just too young to suffer ailments and injuries that could possilby effect long term goals. So sorry to hear this about college athletes.

OMG - all the best to Tamari. Never like this type of news, especially for one so young.

This is precisely the same situation that (then) ND guard Abby Prohaska found herself in a few years back.
If she had not been urged to go to the hospital, she was told it could've been a very dangerous situation.
Very glad this was caught and I hope she is able to recover in much the same way Abby did: she graduated from ND and is currently playing for San Diego State. Good luck, Tamari!

Thanks for your message, Dillon, I was thinking this was the same thing that Prohaska had.

The very best healing vibes toward Tamari. I hope the situation is totally treatable and that it's not due to a serious underlying condition.

Oh, hell. As all of us do I usually wish less than success for TN. But that never extends to individual players, coaches or health issues for any member of the team. Get better as soon as you can.

She will be eligible for a medical red shirt this season. She is also has an additional year of eligibility due to the COVID year.

Yes, hope she fully recovers. Basketball is only a game, make believe. Health issues are real life, and no one should wish ill will on anyone.
