So hunt for the CFP is back. In this thread, we keep track of who is still alive for the College Football Playoff.
If you are a P5 school or Notre Dame, 2 losses eliminate you; if you are a G5 school or an independent not named Notre Dame, one loss eliminates you.

130 teams remain.

So there are 129 schools for 3 open spots cuz we all know 13-0 UCONN already has one locked up.

There is a single G5 team in the country that faces a schedule difficult enough to warrant a Playoff invitation. That school is BYU - wins over LSU, Wisconsin, Boise, Miss. St., Utah would have them in the discussion, but likely on the outside looking in. You're post was obviously in jest, but this is the sad reality of G5 life. I enjoy the thread but we can already chop the list down to 66 teams...

Just pray Notre Dame has 6, 7 or 8 losses this year and next, and they throw in the Independent towel. Helps UCONN enormously.

Yeah, but if they can keep the margin of victory high and win the AAC conference championship, they have a fair chance at a BCS game, not the plus two BCS match up.

Northern Illinois lost on a field goal that clanged off the upright.

116 teams remain, with BC looking very good for a playoff spot.

USF blew it with their schedule this year.

We had Michigan State and Wisconsin on the 2017 schedule.

Michigan State bought out the return game in Tampa, the week our new AD took over.

Shortly thereafter, Wisconsin then asked to reschedule the 2017 game to 2019. We had to agree or they would have bought out that game.

So, that is how we ended up with our current schedule.

You can hear about that from our AD on the Coaches show this week at the 35 minute mark.

Ouch we know that life. Next time a scheduling thread pops up here look for people discussing "the Tennessee series. "
