Due to a scheduling quirk in these unprecedented times we play Butler back to back. Very unusual for college hoops unless it happens to be how conference seeding falls. Do y’all think this hurts our chances of getting the season sweep on them?

Helps. They have the same tired legs as us for the second game.

Why do you think so?
Just seems like it would be easier to prepare for, although I guess that goes in both directions. Purely feeling though, nothing factual, just seems like it would help the underdog more than the favorite to play a back to back. I still think we win both though

UConn will have had less travel than their opponent for each game so there's that FWIW
  • Game 1: UConn no travel at home, Butler traveled on plane
  • Game 2: UConn one plane trip, Butler second plane trip in three days
Good point. Butler is also @ Villanova on Sunday, so it's essentially the toughest stretch of their entire season, on top of the extra travel. Since they played Georgetown last night, they will have played four games in eight nights compared to our three games in nine nights, stretching back to the SJU game.

Edit: Butler is @ Providence next Sunday too. Brutal schedule for them.

Yea I think it clearly helps just because of the way the schedule fell with the PC game getting cancelled. Going into the Tuesday game Butler will have played twice since UConn last played, AND they're travelling TO UConn following a game vs Villanova on Sunday.
