the USL just won’t have anyone who makes an impact in the sport.
Glenn Murray scored this weekend for Brighton against his former club Palace. He used to play in the USL.

One is infinitely better than none. It was his 50th goal for Albion, that ain't hay. And I thought you were an Albion fan.

Different Albion.

I’m still waiting for a US club to be named something like FC Torrington United Albion

Yeah he played for the now defunct USL Wilmington Hammerheads back in 2004.

Remember when I said that Wilmington would die and that USL troll said they wouldn’t? Oh and Rochester is basically dead too. Sad.

I have friends in Rochester, was basicaly told that the (rich) club owner and the (rich) stadium owner both got greedy and basically sank the club, which only hurt the fans and the club itself. Sad.

The basketball is so bad I watched the last 20 min of Hartford and Louisville. Hartford is not good but playing in a baseball outfield is impossibly awful to watch.

Here is to a point before they come home.

Too passive in the first half again and too dependent on the long ball. Most possessions there is little build up before someone tries to make a 30+ yard pass that either leads to a change of possession or a GK. Have they come close to 40% possession time in any of their games? I know that learning to play together wiith a new roster and system takes time but I thought the reason they brought in so many players with experience under Nielsen was to accelerate the learning curve. Unless pass, pass, boot is the system.....I hope not.

I have to admit, wanker always makes me laugh.
And, twin brother tosser. 2 of the more useful terms adopted from LT living outside the States. Quite frankly, so applicable to more than a few boneyard posters.

Anyone going to the Hartford Athletic home opener? We're having a little tailgate starting around 5pm. Stop by and have a hot dog or 2. We'll be flying the Duff Beer flag.

The NY Cosmos scored in the 95th minute to break a 1-1 deadlock and defeat Black Rock FC; earning the right to play Hartford Athletic in the next round of the US Cup next Tuesday.
