In Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC.

It happens to be where Dawn coaches and A'ja played.

Red:

T. Mitchell
Nneka
Tina
Plum
Diamond

White:

Collier
Dolson
Clarendon
Sims
Wilson

Pheesa keeps the possession alive on a rebound, Stef hits a trey.

Tuck beats everyone down the floor for a layup 2 possessions in a row.

I am trying to adjust to the new jersey numbers, but a few observations ...

Diamond looked all-world in 1Q and average in 2Q. The shot selection wasn't as good, and the shots didn't drop.

A'ja looked good but still took some shots not in her effective range.

Kelsey Mitchell and Arike like to shoot. And shoot some more.

Stef did some good things. Tuck made at least 3 hoops, as did Collier.

Ionescu looked tentative and ineffective. Plum looked very good in spots.

Jess Shepard doesn't appear to be in game shape.

I don't see any Dianas or Sues on the floor.

50-40 White team at the half. Diamond and A'ja are the leading scorers, both in double-figures.

Back on here, we must be getting close to the season! The big observation I saw was from the college girls, only Arike & Napheesa look like they belong. Ionescu looked afraid (she’s only a junior so I don’t blame her), Shepard looks solid but not enough to make a difference, not sure I’ve seen Ruthy make a single play on either ends besides Napheesa blocking her off the glass.

A’ja looked to be the best offensive player out there. Defense from her is a lot to be desired.

Dolson did some good things.

Kelsey Mitchell doesn’t know how to play with other talented players.

Tina looks checked out.

Points in the paint: 28-14 advantage for the White. Mostly A'ja and some of Napheesa.

That Nneka player looks pretty good. She's hitting jumpers all over.

Harris is also playing and has 6 points and 3 assists :) but also two turnovers Head bang

Collier made a nice assist to Shepard in transition. 3 dimes for Pheesa.

Pheesa!!!! Tuck tries to take her on the dribble, but Pheesa blocks the shot, corrals it, and starts the break. Standing out.

Napheesa missed a couple of makable jumpers, but she's looking good. Scoring inside, blocking shots, passing for hoops, running the floor. She looks as if she belongs.

White up by 70-50. Tina and Nneka back in for the Red group.

I’ve openly not been a fan of Ogunbowale because of her shot selection but she’s been terrific tonight, especially with making plays for others.
