The article answers a question I had. I knew that Kia was the youngest player on the Canadian team, but wondered if she was the youngest overall. Not quite, but the second youngest of 192 players is impressive.

Stewie got less playing time, but she got up-close views of the practice and play of many of the world's best players. She "played up" agewise, as she often has done, but this time it was to the highest level.

We already know Stewie is great. What we got to witness in this tourney is that one of the newest Huskies also has the potential for greatness. Welcome to Storrs, Kia!!!

It just boggles my mind to think that Breanna Stewart and Kia Nurse, world class athtletes end up in Storrs, CT with a $40 million BB training center. Yes Storrs was in the middle of nowhere, still is, and somehow it has become the BB center of the US. I know Storrs from the old days and in my wildest imagination I cannot see the transformation occurring in the last few years.
