Is she in the starting lineup?

?? Miscommunication on a back door cut that Belibi benefited from and no one on the other team could get near her.

Still, she has fabulous physical gifts (leaping + huge hands so she can cup the ball)

That dunk doesn’t happen with any defensive presence. That was my point.

it's still just two points, right?

We are recruiting a gal for '22 who can dunk (She can also rebound and block shots) and has done so in quite a few games. However, she is no great offensive weapon. So, I'm not too impressed by dunking.

Anything that brings more attention to the women’s game is a good thing.

Awesome stuff and props to her. Glad she was able to pull it off in a game, especially on a big night for Tara.

Is Belibi the first woman to dunk collegiately since Griner? I felt like dunking was a bigger "thing" in the 00s with Michelle Snow, Parker, Fowles and Griner all dunking. Plus several others either attempted a dunk (Amber Harris), would dunk in warmups or at opening night (Maya Moore), or competed in dunk contest (Brittany Hunter is one I remember for sure).

I think the most impressive thing about this play, you really can't tell from this angle. After she intercepted the pass, she had a cross over dribble that got her past the one Cal player that was between her and the bucket.

According to USA Basketball, she's 6'1" and weighs 190.
